Expedia teams up with Microsoft to offer travel-based web browser
Expedia, the travel booking site, has announced a specialised version of the popular Internet Explorer 8 browser which will provide more travel-oriented features built directly into the browser. They hope that this will give them an extra edge over their competitors by offering cheap deals and extra information straight to the customer.
With the online travel booking industry looking ever more competitive, it will mean that Expedia have stolen the march on sites such as lastminute.com. With features such as weather and currency updates, along with latest deals and last minute, one-off deals, the customer can look to get a benefit too.
