Blackpool – The UK’s number one seaside resort

I’m lucky enough to have been born in Blackpool. I used to work the summer season on the North Peir in the theatre and during the day in the sun louge handing out deck chairs. Another season I worked in Blackpool Zoo driving the mimiture train round the park.

It was a great job indeed and kept me in university paying for my fee’s. For a family Blackpool is a great place to come. There are enought attractions to keep a family of four ocupied for 10 days.  Hotels are cheap too which means you don’t have to break the bank to have a great time.

Corfu

Corfu is a Greek Island West of the Greek mainland. Kérkyra  is the capital of the island with a population of around 39,487. I was lucky enough to visit as a child all the way back in 1995. It was my second visit to Greece after my first holiday abroad to crete another greek island.

In the summer months you are pretty much in for sun and hot weather every day. As it’s a pretty small island you are always going to be near to the see. Tempartures in July and August reach an average of around 31 C which is 81 F in old money.

If you fancy a nice week in the sun try Corfu

Marrakesh – Morocco

Marrakesh is one of the most popular locations for tourists in Morocco. In the middle of the country the city is located at the foot of the atlas mountains which can be visited on day trips from the city. The city has a population of just over 1 million people and the majority of the city is geared up for tourism.

You have two options to stay, either a traditional house or a hotel. The main attraction is the souk which is a large market open at night serving food, drink, nuts etc. There is then a maze of small streets with small markets and stalls where you buy cheap goods and presents. It’s a greta place to visit so give it a go.
