Holidaymakers have had to see their plans of going away scrapped as delays and cancellations have been pushed further due to the volcanic ash caused by Iceland’s Eyjafjallajokull volcano. The volcano 700 miles away is still spewing out plumes of smoke, and is expected to cause mayhem to British flights for days and some predict up to six months.

Airports across the country have been mainly deserted, with many people unable to claim back the money they spent on their tickets as insurers state that this is an act of God and not covered under their policies. Meanwhile, some flights continue to fly only in the case of emergencies.
